The Presidential Leadership Scholarship is The University of Montana’s
premier academic scholarship, recognizing outstanding talent, academic
performance and contribution to the community. To apply for the Davidson Honors College
Presidential Leadership scholarship complete the Davidson Honors College
(DHC) application postmarked by December 31st.

The Montana
Resident Entering Student Scholarship Program draws together many endowed
scholarships and donations into a single scholarship application form. New freshman and new transfer student are eligible. A scholarship committee
matches qualified applications with the scholarship that best fits them.
NEW FOR FALL 2010: The application for admission to The University of Montana will also be the student's application for scholarships. All students who submit a completed application by December 31st will automatically be considered for scholarships. Notification will take place in early March.

The Horatio Alger Montana Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to eligible high
school seniors in the State of Montana who aspire to pursue higher
education at the University of Montana. This scholarship will be awarded
according to the terms set by Horatio Alger.

The University of Montana participates in the National Merit Scholarship Program and offers awards of $2,000 a year to finalists who have indicated UM as their first choice for attending college. Semi-finalists who enroll at UM receive an award of $1,000 a year. Interested students are encouraged to list UM as their first college choice.
The University of Montana participates in the Army ROTC Scholarship programs through its Army ROTC unit. To receive an application for a four-year scholarship, contact your high school guidance office. Applications for two and three-year scholarship are available directly for The University of Montana ROTC department. If you have any questions or if you would like to receive an application please contact Army ROTC by calling 406.243.ARMY (2769), collect calls accepted.

Many of UM's academic departments award scholarships to exceptionally talented students. You are encouraged to contact the department of interest by January to find out more about the scholarships and application process.
You will want to check with your high school guidance counselor to see if they offer a scholarship search. Your local library or bookstore may also have scholarship books to help you find assistance.
