"U of M is the friendliest campus I have been around. Faculty and students are all super helpful if you're ever in need of anything."

Transfer Transition Orientation

Transfer Transition is an early orientation program for students who plan to transfer to UM for Fall Semester.

The 2008 Transfer Transition has passed. If you are a transfer student for Fall 2009 and you are interested in attending Transfer Transition, check back here for future dates. Information will be mailed out in 2009 about the program.

Why should you attend?

Who can attend Transfer Transition?

All transfer students who have been accepted for admission to UM for Fall Semester 2008 are welcome to attend Transfer Transition.

What does it cost to participate in Transfer Transition?

Transfer Transition is an Orientation program.  Although you don't need to pay for Transfer Transition now, The University of Montana included an Orientation fee in all new students' first-semester tuition and fees.  You'll pay tuition and fees online by mid-August.

What can I do if I need to stay overnight either before or after the program?

We are unable to provide on-campus housing for Transfer Transition participants.  You'll need to make your own arrangements if you need to stay overnight.

Unable to attend Transfer Transition?

Information about summer and fall orientation dates will be sent to you beginning in late-March.  Also note that Transfer Transition is an abbreviated Orientation program.  If you attend Transfer Transition you are welcome to attend either a Summer Orientation or Fall Orientation to become better acquainted with UM, but you are not required to!
