Student Clubs and Organizations

American Indian Business Leaders (AIBL) promotes American Indian cultural awareness into the business world and advocate solutions to tribal economic problems through higher education. AIBL was organized in January 1994, on the University of Montana's campus in Missoula as a result of founder, and first Executive Director, Michelle Henderson's (Assiniboine) master thesis. The National headquarters is still located on The University of Montana's campus, housed in the Gallagher Business Building.

Kyi-Yo is the Indian Club on campus, its purpose is to unify and provide for communication among Native American students, to foster a strong sense of cultural identity and to promote extra curricular activities that bridge the University of Montana-Missoula with the community of Missoula and its Native American residents. The club is responsible for running the basketball tournament and Pow Wow.

American Indians in Science and Engineering(AISES) mission is to increase substantially the representation of American Indian and Alaskan Natives in engineering, science and other related technology disciplines.

Native American Law Student Association is a nonprofit corporation devoted to and engaged in providing an organization for Native American law students which will promote unity and cooperation among Native American law students, and will provide a basis for which work can be done for the advancement of Native Americans; and promoting learning and knowledge by encouraging students to develop legal scholarship in areas of Native American legal issues. In addition it providing better communication among Native American law students and the Native American people, Native American lawyers, and the general public and assistance to Native American law students.

WaYaWa American Indian Education Association provides a forum for the expression of values and issues relating to American Indian education, promote educational outreach and kindle an awareness of traditional knowledge.

Native American Sports and Games is a club that is newly formed on The University of Montana campus. This group explores Native American sports and games, both traditional and modern.

Native American Journalism Association serves and empowers Native journalists through programs and actions designed to enrich journalism and promote Native cultures.
