The University of Montana has established priority deadlines to provide students with a timeline that will allow for a successful transition to the University.
Admission
The University of Montana practices rolling admissions. What this means is that at UM we are continuously evaluating admitted students on a space-available basis. Students who submit the completed application for undergraduate admission and all required documents by the following dates will receive priority in admissions processing. Applications received after the priority dates are considered on a space-available basis.
Priority Admission Deadlines:
Autumn Semester: March 1
Spring Semester: November 15

Scholarships
The application for undergraduate admission serves as the application for UM entering student scholarships if submitted on or before December 31.
All incoming undergraduate students are welcome to apply to the Davidson Honors College; the priority deadline for admission to the Honors College is December 31.
For incoming freshman to UM, the application for the Davidson Honors College serves as the application for the Presidential Leadership Scholarship if submitted on or before December 31.

Financial Aid
The University of Montana understands the importance of funding your education. To be considered for the maximum amount of aid, please submit all application materials and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the priority deadline of February 15.

Residence Life
Residence Life provides housing options for all students. To apply for University housing, students must be admitted to The University of Montana. Completed Residence Life applications received by April 1 will receive priority placement.
