Tuition is based on your student residency status and the number of semester credit hours taken. Fees assessed include campus-based services and distance (online) learning fees. The tuition and fee schedule for UM College of Technology differs from the tuition and fee schedule for The University of Montana. Tuition and fees are paid each semester after course registration is complete.

First-semester costs are typically higher than other semesters because students in many programs purchase supplies, tools, or materials that are used throughout the program and on the job. Directors of the various programs (e.g., Welding Technology, Diesel Technology, Culinary Arts) can provide lists of supplies, tools, and materials required for first-semester students.
