To reserve a room, complete the housing application and submit a $200 prepayment and a $20 processing fee. If you have questions, call Residence Life at (406) 243-2611.
If you are a freshman, you are required to live on campus. If you have 30 or more transfer credits, or are older than 21, you may choose to live off-campus.
UM also provides housing options for students with spouses and/or dependents. For more information, contact University Villages at (406) 243-6063.
You must submit the Pre-registration Immunization Record enclosed in your acceptance packet. You will not be able to register for classes until the form has been received with required validated immunizations. For more information contact the Curry Health Center at (406) 243-2122.
More than 67 percent of UM students receive some form of financial aid. There are deadlines for UM's scholarships. You may still be eligible to apply as a Montana Resident or a Non-Resident, and we encourage all families to apply for Federal Financial Aid through the Financial Aid Office.
All new students are required to attend an Orientation program for advising and class registration. Information about the program and how to register for an Orientation will be sent prior to Orientation.
For students beginning Fall 2008, you will attend one of four Orientation programs: June 11-13, June 25-27, July 9-11, or August 20-22.
For students beginning Spring 2009, you will attend Spring Orientation on January 21-23. 2009.

If you are a freshman, ask your high school to send your final high school transcript (with graduation date, final GPA, and class rank) after graduation to complete your file.
If you are a transfer student, send an updated official transcript as soon as you complete your final term and your grades have been posted.
